Privacy Policy

Leverages U.S. Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") regarding the handling of user information, including personal information about users, in its employment and job change services, "KikokuGO.com," "ShigotoSagashi.com," and "Leverages Career U.S." (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Services"). The Company does not process user personal information into anonymized or pseudonymized information.

1. Collection of Personal Information and Method
  1. In this Policy, "User Information" refers to information related to user identification, online activity history, and other information generated or stored on a user's smartphone, PC, or other device in connection with the user or the user's device, which the Company collects in accordance with this Policy.       When a user permits linkage with external services such as social networking services while using the Services, the Company will collect the following information from the relevant external services based on the consent given at the time of such permission.

      • Other information that the user has permitted to be disclosed to the linked service according to the privacy settings of the external service.

      The Company may collect information about access to and usage of the Services. This includes the following:

2. Purposes of Use
  1. 2-1. User Information is used to provide the Services as stipulated in 2-2, and may also be used for other purposes as stipulated in 2-3.

    • For registration acceptance, identity verification, provision, maintenance, protection, and improvement of the Services
    • For responding to inquiries and providing information regarding the Services

3. Methods of Notification, Public Announcement, or Obtaining Consent, and Methods for Requesting Discontinuation of Use

  2. Users may request the discontinuation of the use of all or part of their User Information by configuring the designated settings within the Services. In such cases, the Company will promptly discontinue such use in accordance with its prescribed procedures. Please note that the collection or use of certain User Information items is essential for the provision of the Services. Therefore, the Company will only cease collecting such information when the user withdraws from the Services through the Company's prescribed method.

5. Third-Party Provision
  1. 5-1. The Company will not provide personal information contained within User Information to any third party without obtaining the prior consent of the user, except where disclosure is permitted under the Personal Information Protection Act (referring to the Act on the Protection of Personal Information in Japan; hereinafter the same) or other laws and regulations. However, this does not apply to the following cases:
    • When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use
    • When personal information is provided in connection with a business handover due to a merger or other reasons
    • When personal information is provided to information collection module providers in accordance with the provisions of Section 4.
    • When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a person entrusted by such agency, in carrying out affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the user's consent may hinder the performance of such affairs
    • Other cases permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations
  2. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the Company will provide the personal information described in Section 1(1) of this Policy, obtained from the user, to the companies to which the user has applied.

7. Disclosure of Personal Information
  1. Upon receiving a request from a user for disclosure of personal information and records related to the provision of personal information to third parties, based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company will confirm that the request is from the user themselves and promptly disclose the information to the user through the method specified by the user (If such personal information does not exist, the Company will notify the user to that effect). However, this does not apply if the Company is not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations. Please note that a fee ($5 USD per request) is charged for the disclosure of personal information. If the disclosure method specified by the user requires a significant expense or is otherwise difficult, or if the user does not specify a disclosure method, the Company will disclose the personal information by providing a written document.
8. Correction and Discontinuation of Use of Personal Information
  1. 8-1. Upon receiving a request from a user for correction of personal information based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act, due to the information being untrue, or a request for discontinuation of its use based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act due to any of the following reasons, the Company will confirm that the request is from the user themselves and promptly conduct the necessary investigation. Based on the results of the investigation, the Company will correct or discontinue the use of the personal information and notify the user accordingly. If the Company decides not to correct or discontinue use based on reasonable grounds, the Company will notify the user to that effect.
    • The personal information is being handled beyond the scope of the publicly announced purpose of use or was collected through false or other fraudulent means
    • The Company no longer needs to use the personal information
    • A situation has occurred, such as a leak, loss, damage, or other security breach of personal information, which poses a significant risk of harming the rights and interests of the individual
    • There is a risk of harming the rights or legitimate interests of the individual due to other handling of personal information
  2. 8-2. Upon receiving a request from a user for the deletion of their personal information, and if the Company determines that it is necessary to comply with such request, the Company will confirm that the request is from the user themselves, delete the personal information, and notify the user accordingly.
  3. 8-3. The provisions of the preceding two paragraphs shall not apply if the Company is not obligated to correct or discontinue the use of personal information under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.

10. Privacy Policy Amendment Procedures
  1. The Company will review the operational status of the handling of User Information as appropriate, strive for continuous improvement, and may amend this Policy as necessary. In the event of amendments, the Company will announce the effective date and content of the revised Policy through display on the Company's website and other appropriate methods, or notify the user. However, in the case of amendments requiring the user's consent under applicable laws and regulations, the Company will obtain the user's consent through the Company's prescribed method.

14. Joint Use of California Personal Information

The Company enters into agreements with its group companies to ensure that they do not retain, use, or disclose California Personal Information for purposes other than the specified purposes.
15. User Rights Regarding California Personal Information
  1. If you are a California resident, you may exercise the following rights regarding your California Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions, in accordance with the provisions of the CCPA. The Company will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

      You have the right to request that the Company not sell or share California Personal Information collected from you to third parties.

    • Right to Limit Use and Disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information:

      While the Company collects sensitive personal information from you, it will not use or disclose such sensitive information for purposes other than those listed in California Code of Regulations §7027(m).

16 How to Exercise Your Rights
