Accounting Assistant / Process accounts payable/receivable, support financial reporting / Food/Beverage, Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor invoices, customer payments, and bank deposits.

Reconcile bank and credit card statements accurately and in a timely manner.

Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.

Support payroll processing and related tasks.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Manage expense reports and ensure compliance with company policies.

Communicate effectively with vendors and customers regarding billing and payment inquiries.

Provide administrative support to the Accounting Manager as needed.

Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

* Proven experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar financial role.
* Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferable) is a must.
* Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Preferred

* Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred, not a must.
