Responsibilities
Position Purpose
Achieve targeted revenue, profit, and growth goals through strategic prospecting, effective client management, and comprehensive market analysis.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Achieve annual and quarterly revenue, profit, and growth targets established by the company
• Prospect for new customers utilizing various methods, including cold calling to generate customer meetings
• Maintain and expand the customer base by counseling distributors and building solid vendor relationships
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals and presentations, following up with distributors and key decision makers
• Implement trade promotions by exhibiting at tradeshows and evaluating trade spending
• Monitor competition, market trends, economic indicators, and supply and demand to recommend product and service changes
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making actionable recommendations
• Communicate regularly with the Management Team to review weekly sales activities, prospective customers, and goals
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and participating in industry societies
Professional Development and Experience
• Enhance high-level negotiation, presentation, and strategic sales planning skills through diverse client interactions
• Expand professional and technical knowledge by engaging with industry networks and participating in professional organizations
Requirements
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Good driving record with the ability to read and speak English well enough to communicate, respond to directions, and read traffic signs
• Professional presentation, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities for customers and the company
• Computer proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications
• Ability to develop and execute sales strategies, and meet individual and team sales goals
• Strong presentation, closing, and negotiation skills regarding price, specifications, delivery, and payment terms
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently
