Responsibilities
Position Purpose
To successfully manage and oversee industrial construction projects from start to finish, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications, budgets, safety standards, and project schedules through effective collaboration with all stakeholders.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate and oversee industrial construction projects, ensuring alignment with contract documents, engineering practices, and quality standards
• Manage project budgets, cost estimations, change orders, and schedule updates while tracking staffing needs and invoices
• Facilitate seamless communication with engineers, contractors, vendors, and customers to incorporate review comments and required specifications
• Develop document control plans for engineering, procurement, inventory, and resource allocation
• Direct subcontractor activities, establish work sequences, and resolve construction, design, or procedural issues
• Enforce on-site safety standards and compliance with all construction safety codes
• Perform physical tasks including occasional climbing, crouching, and lifting up to 25 pounds
Professional Development and Experience
• Gain comprehensive experience managing complex industrial construction and process engineering projects
• Enhance strategic project management, budget control, and cross-functional leadership skills within a collaborative firm culture
Requirements
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in industrial construction with strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with manufacturing customers, preferably in chemical and advanced material manufacturing sites
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and process data sheets
• Working experience in process construction including equipment installation, process piping, E&I, and utilities
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products for business applications
• Positive attitude and commitment to an active role in a small-firm construction engineering environment
• Experience with industrial building projects (civil, concrete, steel, MEP, FP) is a plus
