Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized bilingual Accounting Assistant focused on Accounts Payable and employee expense processing. You will manage vendor invoices, verify expense reports, and ensure policy compliance using SAP, Emburse, and BILL. This role is ideal for executing routine tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

Position Purpose
To accurately execute essential routine accounting operations, focusing primarily on Accounts Payable and expense processing within a supportive Japanese-English bilingual environment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
• Process vendor invoices and general expenses while ensuring precise GL coding and SAP data entry
• Review and manage employee expense reports via Emburse to ensure strict policy compliance
• Support payment execution and reconcile vendor statements utilizing BILL
• Provide essential administrative and clerical support to the accounting department
• Assist the finance team with month-end closing activities to ensure timely reporting

Professional Development and Experience
• Gain practical experience in executing foundational corporate accounting procedures
• Enhance technical proficiency using industry-standard financial tools such as SAP, Emburse, and BILL

Requirements

・Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in Japanese (Primary language used) and English (Intermediate reading and writing skills).
・Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
・Soft Skills: Highly cooperative team player who is comfortable performing routine tasks accurately and consistently.
・Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or general office administration.
・Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting principles (equivalent to Nissho Boki 3rd grade).
・Software Skills: Prior experience with accounting and expense management software (SAP, Emburse, BILL).
