Responsibilities
* Responsible for the smooth operation of the day-to-day business and administrative functions of the branch, including but not limited to:.
* Lead and manage employees in efficient and effective administrative activities.
* Monitor work performance, including AR, AP, Credit Memo, etc., to assure optimum efficiency and accuracy, performing such tasks when necessary.
* Perform HR related tasks, including hiring, termination, performance management, payroll, leaves, workers comp, union matters, etc..
* Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and handle internal and external audit.
* Ensure clean, safe work environment, handling janitorial, repair, supply and maintenance related issues as needed.
* Coordinate Safety Committee, assuring optimum safety standards are maintained and investigations completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
* Take immediate action in coordination with senior management to resolve any problems that could impact productivity, safety and harmony of a smooth operation.
* Other duties as necessary to support on-going operational needs.
Requirements
* College graduate or equivalent work experience required.
* 10+ years, successful administrative experience required.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Demonstrated success managing a diverse work population.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Dependable work ethic.
* Positive attitude.
* Excellent team skills.
* Excellent analytical skills.
Preferred
* 5 or more of which in a managerial role preferred.
* Payroll knowledge and experience preferred.
* Food distribution experience preferred.
* Familiar with Japanese business and Asian food culture preferred.
